Dear developers of gregorio and gregorioTeX,

I found your project on the web today and am very impressed by the work
already done and the beautifully set output of gregorio(TeX). I am a
student of theology at Jena, Germany and part of "Liturgischer Singkreis
Jena". I've done some transcription work for this schola, which can be
seen on my homepage, www.dgippner.de. For this work, I used OpusTeX with
some personal adaptions. Doing that, I recognized the limits of OpusTeX
in several points and searched for an environment more suitable (and
easier) for transcriptions.

Gregorio has almost all of the features I missed in OpusTeX. Text can be
put easier to fit the neumes and there is the possibility to combine
some unusual notes our choirmaster used when manually writing an
adaption. The only thing I could not achieve was a clivis with an
additional liquescens below (only by the way).

However, I am interested to help with the further development of
gregorio. I am not practised in the use of C(++), but use LaTeX for a
quite long time now and could help with this and I think I could help
out with a translation of manuals/the homepage into german, for
example. Anyway, I'd like to help as best as I can.

If you think you could need my help I would be glad to work together
with you on gregorio, which I find an very cool tool so far.

Thanks in advance!

Yours sincerely,

David Gippner
