No, I think you're right, and I think we should add a page about
copyrights to make it clear. I'm now sure that in France, all collective
books (like the ones from abbeys) "revealed" (printing is revealing)
before 1939 are under public domain, so Solesmes books are free, but I
don't know if it's the case in the US or in England... Do you have facts
about this? Also, is it possible to put a file you wrote in the public
domain in US/England? In France it's not, so we have the (very poetic)
WTFPL (http://sam.zoy.org/wtfpl/) to have something similar.

I was wonering: should we replace "license" by "copyright" and "source
by "score"? I think it's more clear, for instance:

gabc-copyright: © Elie Roux 2009, public domain;
score-copyright: © Abbaye de Solesmes 1934;

like this everyone will know the copyright, and will be able to
determine if it's free or not in their country.

I was also thinking about something: we should add a "user-notes" field,
that can be multi-lines, and fed with anything the user wants, like this
users will be able to add all the informations they want about multiple
manuscripts, books, licenses, and everything we forgot...
