Hmm... My attempt to reply to the commits list got bounced, so here's a
another try specifically to the people who exposed my ignorance and to
the developer's list as a whole.:
This must be my ignorance of Linux showing then.
I found that Parallels offered downloadable preinstalled virtual
machines of Ubuntu Linux and decided to give it a try (in order to test
my engines in a Linux environment). When walking through the install
instructions the aptitude command didn't work (command not recognized,
IIRC), but apt-get did. The only reason I even knew about apt-get was
because the instructions for updating the Parallels tools had used it to
install some dependencies. Given the similarities in the names, I
merely assumed that there was a name change to make it more apparent
what the command was supposed to do. Clearly I shouldn't have assumed that.
I'll go change it back now and let people who are more knowledgeable
about Linux handle that page.
