I concur with changing the default to .gtex for the folling reasons:
- Autocompile uses it as the default extension.
- Differentiates a score from a regular tex file.
- Makes it easier for a power user to filter a directory. I
typically don't want to open a score file for manual editing, thus I
don't want it to show up in a list of files to open.
In my thinking gregoriotex files should be considered volatile, and
overwriting them is always safe. Blindly running `gregorio score.gabc`
should not clobber a .tex file. Of course there are the cases of having
a modified gregoriotex file to do things that cannot be done normally.
Also I do not follow the naming scheme of *-main.tex for the main
project files. Mostly because I usually don't work with individual
scores, but I have multi score projects.
