Well, this is curious.

I wrote a test app in preparation to file a bug in Radar. Come to find  
out, while NSUserDefaults does not work, CFPreferencesCopyAppValue and  
CFPreferencesGetAppBooleanValue do.

So, larkost's problem is *not* the same one we saw with GrowlMail.
