Just to try an tie this up for me: Is this a change that is on its way in the next version of Growl? I already had a work-around in place for this (one of many for similar problems in other applications), but would love to be able to toss that work-around at some point.
Christopher: on computer lab computers end users don't have the ability to update applications, so notifying them that updates are available is just annoying them. We turn those sorts of things off where ever possible, and it is much cleaner to have something in / Library/Preferences rather than as part of our login-hooks. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Growl Discuss" group.
