Please send us the crash report so we can see about fixing the uninstaller. Open up the Console (you'll find it in /Applications/Utilities); on the left side, under “Diagnostic and Usage Information” and then under “User Diagnostic Reports”, you'll find the crash reports. That implies that something *else* installed Growl. Please open up the Growl preference pane in System Preferences, click on the Applications tab, take a screenshot of it, and send us that screenshot as an email attachment.
