In debugging this issue with my own app (Paparazzi!), I came across
something interesting. This had been working for me under Growl 1.2.2
and earlier, in -applicationDidFinishLaunching:
if ([GrowlApplicationBridge isGrowlInstalled])
[GrowlApplicationBridge setGrowlDelegate:self];
but it stopped working after updating to 1.3. After futzing around a
bit, it appears that [GrowlApplicationBridge isGrowlRunning] returns
false in -applicationDidFinishLaunching whereas it didn't before.
Maybe this is (one of) the issue(s) other apps are running into?
