Charles,

That's a good idea.  I looked at that file, and it did indeed refer
to a different ant installation (the distribution installation) than
I was using.

However, I moved the file, and tried again, and get the same errors.

But it's a thought.  Maybe I did something that installed this 
distribution ant since I last built Globus... and maybe there is
still something hanging around that interferes.  I'll keep playing
with it.
