But as Raphael Manfredi have said and others might think, it's better to distinguish singular and plural form even if tiresome for developpers. Personaly, I recognize difference of GTK-Gnutella, Gtk-Gnutella, gtk-gnutella, GTKG, gtkg, considering how should translated GnutellaNet, gnutellaNet, gNet is. > Also I have no idea how you can properly translate > "%u match(es) in %u result(s)" because this might require > 3 (if not 4) translations and sometimes you might have to change the > order of the elements. However the order is changeble like "In %2$u result(s), %1$u match(es)", so the point is whether singular or not. For your side as developper. Not having any skill of C, I really can't know, it's to be outlaw for "format string". In addition, I remember the day when developper had decided abandonment of GNU Autotools. So, you also might have certain suspicion or similar against GNU tools, but whenever if possible, I would like to recommend using GNU gettext. But again, thank you for your response and great efforts. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: Sybase ASE Linux Express Edition - download now for FREE LinuxWorld Reader's Choice Award Winner for best database on Linux. http://ads.osdn.com/?ad_id=5588&alloc_id=12065&op=click _______________________________________________ Gtk-gnutella-devel mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/gtk-gnutella-devel
