I can only speak from a limited experience, but it may
be of some help. My 93 GTS has 44,000 miles on it
with an average of 10,000 on each set of tires. I've
always replaced in sets, in this order.
1 Dunlop 204's -Originals,did the job but not note-
worthy.Typical OE tires.
2 Dunlop 205's -Had more feel than the 204's slightly
more stick.
3 Metzler ME3's More of a lineiar feel when rolling
the bike into a corner.A more secure feeling for me.
4 Dunlop 207's A nice evolution from the 205's.
Good allround tire. Does everthing well, great
price.
5 Metzler ME4's Just spooned these on about 700 miles
ago. Seem to prefer Mets on the GTS. They feel
in sync with the RAD front suspension. Surefooted,
secure,positive feedback.
My riding style is fast but not abrupt. Replaced
original chain at 39,000. Front brakes at 30.
Hope this was some help.
