No, I don't think GTS owners store their bikes any differently than any
others.I think GTS owners fall in a special category. I don't know of any
other NEW bike that was sitting in(YAMAHA) storage & showrooms for such a
long time. This must have something, if not everything ,to do with the
initial stages of the alleged corrosion or moisture build up. Coupled with
this, being a very sophisticated & precision oriented braking system ,some
extra care on Yamaha's part was probably required & or overlooked. I think
all GTS'ers are just victims of these unforeseen & or missed circumstances.I
noticed today that 2 GTS's had there pumps replaced under some warranty
condition & not necessarily on good will faith on Yamaha's part. How many
other pumps were really changed under these kind of conditions? How many
pumps were changed on GTS's that were out of any kind of coverage from
Yamaha? Peter Piazza P.S. When I asked the HU question on the FJ club, I
found 1 person complain about his warning light coming on & off. Another
stating how he loves hisABS. Another brought his bike to the shop & spent
like a grand to overhaul his unit, just to make sure everything was fine.No
real problems to speak of.
