On a different note....I was wondering where you found an aftermarket pipe
that fits the GTS? Or was it modified or a custom install? I know you said
that it was on the bike when you bought it, but thought you may be able to
tell. I have been considering an aftermarket pipe for mine, but was warned
by the Yam shop guys that it could adversely affect the performance because
the computer may not be able to adjust to the change. Maybe what you are
seeing? If anyone can help you figure this thing out though, it's gonna be
the guys on this list.
Good luck.

Possibly, POSSIBLY, the slipon could be having an effect. What has
been my limited experience is that the 'freer' breathing exhausts will
'move' power and torque around in the rpm curve. Sometimes, it will
'excerbate'
any small problems or 'piccadillo's' into something much larger.
If you can get your hands on a stock can, try switching them and see if
it
makes any difference or improvement.
