I prefer to drive "pro actively".  When you drive defensively you are
waiting for the other guy(s) to make decisions, which may effect you
adversely.  Better to ride/drive pro-actively and make your decisions for
yourself.  Let the defensive drivers then do what they are best at:
re-acting (sometimes poorly) to a situation.
