Yep, 87 it is. When I bought mine I was led to believe that it took mid-grade, and thus used it for years. Last time we had the infamous gas thread, I discovered that cheapo is fine. I'm at 4,000 ft elevation, and most of my riding is up. Higher altitudes require even less octane. Pinging is not likely with FI, it should adjust the timing to prevent that, so really it would be loss of power, and without a dyno you won't be able to document that one. Save your money. Send half of the savings to me, I'm worth it more than Mobexon.
