Wouldn't have thought it was the fuel pump , as there well built and if they
suffered from heat problems they wouldn't be put inside the tank .

Coils , possible but due to their location they shouldn't get to hot ,
themselves .

Faulty spark plug quite possible .
Give the tank a clean out , and see what comes out .
