Somebody on the list made custom stand-off's, I think they added 1/2 to 1
inch outwards.
I dont know who did it, maybe Keven Hawkins has it on his web site.
If you are carefull, you can snap the mirrors off the mount. They have
special spring loaded clips, if you do not twist it so plastic hits plastic,
you can remove them without damage. You might be able to do the stand-offs
in plastic or aluminum.

Has anyone here made any modifications to the rearviews on the '93s?
I find myself looking at my elbows more than the traffic behind me, is there
an easy fix? A shim to put between mirror and bike?
Otherwise I love this thing, lotsa power (this one is a little modified)
quite comfortable (doesn't kill my wrists) and it gets looks everywhere I
go. "Is that a 98? What's with the swingarm in front" etc etc
