Hi guys,

I'm afraid my exhaust canister is on its way out since I've noticed the
inside tube (as seen from the exhaust port) has come loose and rotates
somewhat freely, east and west. I have already searched the archives but so
far I haven't seen any conclusive info about which way to go from here,
wheter to get an OEM one (gasp!) or some other option. I am NOT interested
in increased HP or noise, and would much rather keep the smooth power band &
low end power.

Just in case: could I take it to be re-welded, or is that a no-no? if it
came loose, I guess corrosion is at large in there and there won't be much
material left to weld on. So far I have not had the time to disassemble it
to take a look.

Any of you guys with different silencers, what's your input on them so far?

On a different note: am I the only one that does not _ever_ scrape the pegs
but is steadily grinding the centerstand away? what can I do about that?
yes, I know about taking it easy on the right wrist, but I'm not a
particularly aggressive rider, so I think something must have gone AWOL
here. I think preload is just about spot-on, but then I'm a very big guy.
Any ideas?

Best,

Roberto the great (in size).

PS: Henry, I'm still awaiting your message about the bullfights...
