Well, at the risk of further revealing my sometimes squidlike tendencies, I
offer a link to a recent law enforcement encounter. This would be an example
of what not to do. In this case, incredibly, it worked out ok. In defense of
my actions I'll reveal a few more details that I did not reveal in my
original post. I was riding at the time with a fellow SBN'r , a 65 year old
dude on a Honda 929. Just as I was preparing to pull over and wait for the
cops return, he bolted. I gave in to the peer pressure :) BTW, this is the
first time I ever saw the top speed of my GTS, somewhere in the indicated
145mph range. The 929 left me in its dust. A look at his GPS later revealed
he hit a true 155 somewhere along the way.
