new VFR lighter??? per the Honda USA page - VFR w/ABS 499lbs dry, w/o
ABS 490lbs dry And CBR11XX 490 lbs dry. VFR better in the twisties???
Maybe if they've improved the suspension over previous models but alot
of that depends on the rider IMHO. I'm not a fan of LBS either but the
ABS option is nice (and saved my butt on the GTS once). Point on the
CBR954RR is that there are so many more high tech ($$$) parts on it (and
development costs over the many years and changes) compared to the VFR
just seems the VFR is getting mighty expensive list price wise. VFR now
finally offers optional factory bags though, where the XX hasn't that
option either. Guess I just like bikes with useable street power
(especially roll on power) and until I ride an new VFR, for the money
(paying list for each) I'd have a rough time picking the VFR over an XX
for the types of riding I do. Everyone has their own tastes and
preferences though, just wish the USA had as many bike (and colors of
bikes) choices as the rest of the world. Too many bikes...not enough
money :(

ps and why do they still put forks on new bikes anyway???

So? VFR is lighter and is better in twisties. CBRXX has LBS also.
So it's screwed up in the same way, but there is no ABS option on XX.
Plus, with XX you lose license much quicker. It's a grownup hooligan
tool :-]
Are you implying that RR is better in some way I don't see?
Except for the lack of LBS that is?
If you factor the visits to chiropractor into the cost of the RR
ownership
it does not cost any more :^)

... even the fork is still there :-P
