Yes and no, I've gotten to a point where I can brake hard enough to make the rearwheel howl without engaging the ABS, as long as I can keep that up, I can stop real fast, the ABS comes in when it gets when or other loss of traction situation comes up where I might not have the same amount of control and the wheel might've locked up if I didn't have ABS.
