Really? So the GTS is largely unchanged from 1994-1998? Any idea when the last year GTS was made?
The word is almost identical here too "swingarm", I only wish they had put a singlesided swingarm int he back too, that would be VERY cool. When I lived in Rimbo (outside of Norrtalje, which is outside of Stockholm) I used to ride year-round, I started on a Vespa by Piaggio, modelname "Ciao", excellent little critter with centrifugal clutch and a single gear, driven by a belt. Funny thing was that my moped was 'uncool' when all the boys with money had Yamaha DT50, Suzuki K50 and other cool ones, but surprisingly, my little Italian job was the fastest one, slightly different gearing, performance pipe and this thing would scream. I still had the hardened restrictor in the intake and stayed 48.9cc's. I almost fear what would've happened if I went 60cc's and removed the restrictor, 2strokes are known for revving so I probably would have gotten closer to freeway speeds and killed myself! :) Since then I've had a few other Vespa Ciaos, then a Yamaha DT125 (dirtbike, but I was too young to care about 'streetlegal' then), tried a friends Honda 650 dualsport, then moved here (To Los Angeles) and got a Honda Hawk 450, then Yamaha Radian 600, Yamaha FJ1200, Suzuki GSXR1100, another Yamaha FJ1200, Suzuki Katana 600, Honda Nighthawk 250 and most recent is the GTS1040.. which is the strongest bike I've ever been on, the GSXR was close, but not as much power as the GTS. To get back to GTS content instead of reminiscing about bikes past, I need to get off my lazy bee-hind and adjust the suspension for myself, the Ohlins in front needs softer rebound and I need to soften the rear shock a couple of notches too, it's setup perfect for two up but I rarely do that so I need comfort, especially since I still have the stock seat. Lazy-sore-butt! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Leslie Jensen" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Hi Rob > The only difference that I know of is two grey plastic covers on the front (what do you call it?)
