As for me, I got 7.5Kmi. out of the Pirelli GTS tires. Azaro II's are
yet to be determined, but judging from current wear, it looks like 6Kmi
will be about the max. Rick on the other hand obviously lives by lots of
twisties and runs them fairly hard. The GTS is a heavy beast and will
cook the front tires when ridden that way, I've noticed that after runs
through Deal's Gap and other similar roads. My mileage is a mix, but
more commuting than Rick does by far. I still don't see how anyone gets
12~14Kmi. out of a set of anything on this bike. I know some have
claimed that in the past, but I know I'll never see that kind of mileage
based on my types of riding. The Pirelli GTS are the highest mileage
tires to date for me (D202's, BT57's, GTS's, now Azaro II's). Bob B.

ps next I'll maybe try Mez4's.

Subject: Re: now tire mileage
<snip>I have a set of GTSs on my 94, which I VERY happy with, and they
seem to be showing very little wear after 2000 miles, mostly on
urban/suburban streets and interstate highways. Very little twisty
stuff, unfortunately.

I'm wondering if the rider's weight has much to do with the wear you are
seeing, or if suspension set up could make a difference?
