Good question Henry! I used this trick with my Concours,on my winter 93 NY to CA tour. My hands were literally white from cold when I crossed the Golden Gate during a torential downpour. I parked the Conny with engine running. A motorcycle engine will get hot enough...if left to idle, even in freezing temps to trigger cooling fans on. Once fans kick in, place cold hands at exhaust vents in fairing for radiator. Again I've used this procedure for years with all liquid cooled motorcycles with electric fans. -Pete --- "Henry S.
