Uh...what did you stop for? I do the same thing all the time here, but I
don't stop. I
find that at speed, the wind will push the heat thru the exhaust vents
in the fairing,
so I just jam one hand in one side. When it is warm enough, I switch
hands. (Have to be
careful on the right side though, I use my left hand for the throttle.
Or just coast down a
bit.)

(Realizing the liability of making such comments, Brandon quickly added
a disclaimer.)

This maneuver was performed by an experienced rider on a closed course
<cough><cough>,
and should not be attempted by an unskilled rider at any time. You
should always wear
a helmet, gloves and kevlar underwear whenever you ride. And turn your
light on.

(Did I cover everything?)

:^)

Anyway, it's an old trick, I'm just too damn lazy to get off the bike
and wait for the fans
to kick in. I do remember a time once where I was hugging my XS1100
engine under an over-
pass though....

No fans. Darn air cooled engines. Heh.
