Oh yeah, with all the excitement of the Death Valley ride and then catching up after 4 days away, I almost forgot to tell you guys about the dual headlight. I indeed receive the long sought after (at least in the U.S.) dual lamp system from a Yamaha dealer in Germany called Beinert. It only took a three wks to receive and cost was 319 Euro's + another 66 for shipping. I haven't received my credit card statement yet, so I don't know the exact $ amount, but at current exchange rates should be around $340 - $350. The set up has a dual filament H4 bulb in the left side (as you're sitting on bike) and a single element H3 bulb in the right side which is wired to the high beam of the H4. It also has a parking light sticking straight up from the bottom. All three light sockets and wiring harness come with the light assembly, which join together in a 4 pin connector on the back side (Ground, high, low and parking). So should be straight forward wiring it up. I haven't installed it yet, but will soon. I also haven't decided whether I will invest in a second, unshielded HID, which is a bit more problematic replacing an H3. I'm probably going to try a Super white PIAA high wattage H3 since they are only $28 first, to see how that works. Of course John Laurenson is supposed to be reporting on his set up soon as well. So contact information for Beinert; www.beinert-online.de email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] phone: 011-49-5241-1806 fax: 011-49-5241-14609 they were very helpful, speak English, tell Michael I sent you.
