My brother and me, both GTS/sidecar lunatics, had both loosed that stupid
shield. Lucky for us there is no TUV here in the Netherlands (Not yet).
I think a sticker on the lens in front of the bulb is not allright with the TUV?
Such solution is used when bikes/cars from England rides in the other part of
Europe or the other way around to correct the light patterns.
May be instead of a sticker you can etching a dot on the glass as an permanent
solution. There is etching stuff for sale to decorate housedoor windows (I hope
"etching" is the right word).
