I got my first chance to evaluate my dual headlight set up. The HID in the
low beam and the 100 watt H3 bulb in the highbeam.

1. The light did not need the multiple washers I used behind the top two
bolts for mounting and lowering the beam when aiming on the single headlight
reflector with shielded HID. The adjuster didn't have enough range.

2. I removed the internal metal shield in the low beam reflector. The
larger low beam with the shielded HID bulb throws a different beam pattern.
It has a more concentrated direction and a distinct horizontal line. It I
great for distance.

3. The H3 high beam aims lower than the low beam. Which means it needs to
be used as the low beam and not the high.

4. The beam directions of the two lights are locked together so they move
at the same time when you adjust the direction up/down and left/right. This
means I will need to aim the HID as a high beam and use the high beam as a
low beam. It works, but I have yet to test it in traffic on the highway to
see if it can be adjusted so as not to bother on coming traffic.

5. I will play around with the adjustments more and do additional road
testing before I make any final good or bad comments. The combination puts
out a lot of light but I am not sure if it can be controlled enough to be as
functional as I had hoped for.
