Cool! I'm glad that somebody somewhere has finally made one of these for
bikes.
Of course, it isn't as neat as the old Yamaha self-cancelling turn
signal, but
it beats not having it.

For those who might NOT know, Yamaha made their bikes in the late 70's
to the...uhm...
mid 80's, with a self-cancelling signal that was really advanced. It
operated on distance
and/or time, whichever was the most applicable. That way, it wouldn't
cancel out at a
turn that you would be waiting for, and also not blink for days after a
lane change. I
always figured that they discontinued it probably due to a lawsuit
because a couple
of people misused it or thought it would make a good scapegoat for their
accidents.
What a shame. It was one of the most innovative and useful features that
ever came
on bikes. Dang, they should or could have used it on cars, especially
with those folks
who are chatting and not paying attention. It's a safety item, folks.

(I always wondered if I took one off an old xs1100 and 'grafted' into my
bike, if it
would work. It had sensors to the wheeels to check for movement, I never
figured out where those sensors were....)

Anyway, thanks for the suggestion Dave. I'm gonna check it out asap.
