The pithy ruminations from Michel Bijl on
<Tires> were:
=> Dear motorcycle friends,
=>
=> It looks like I'll have to go into a discussion with Bridgestone on tires.

Why?

=> My front tire (standard size) is worn out after only 5000 kilometers. The

That's not much, but...what kind of riding do you do? Speeds? Curves? Weight?

=> center part of the tire is not worn out too much, but the sides are gone, and
=> the tires are cupping so much that the bike is very instable turning corners.
=>

Oh, the center has tread but the edges are worn? Sounds like you've been having
a lot of fun. That's the right way to wear out a tire! I wouldn't complain...

=> Now Bridgestone is claiming that my front shock must be disfunctioning in some
=> way. I'm pretty sure that my shock is in good condition and I think that there
=> is something wrong with the tire itself.

I'd check the air pressure (possibly with a couple of different gauges). It's
hard to think of being leaned over enough to have the edges of the tire worn
and have a serious problem with the front shock. I've seen cupping on the
center of my front tire, but not on the edges.

Mark

=>
=> My question is:
=> Dis anyone else have the cupping problem with the BT 010 tires?
=> How long did the FRONT tire last? (KM's or miles)
=>
=> I did order a new tire, but I feel Bridgestone needs to replace my tire.
