Interesting...anyone notice in the latest FJR test in Cycleworld (?) that the listed weight is basically the same as for a GTS...I thought it was supposed to be significantly lighter...the write-up wasn't very positive either especially in the opinions writeups...The styling isn't growing on me...seems worse, the more I look at it if anything...
It's a shame because I'd love it if Yamaha had built a GTS with shaft drive that was significantly lighter...and that's what it sounded like it was going to be... Pablo makes a good comment about going back to a conventional fork though...I've been wondering the same thing myself recently...I love the way the GTS responds when you really hammer into a corner at high speed, scrub off a ton of speed with that enormous front brake, no dive, lean it in, brakes off, suspension unfazed, just smoooooth and confident. Intoxicating. I've owned various Yamahas, BMWs, Ducatis and Moto Guzzis.
