Yeh, it's not that it's faster than anything else...because it definitely
aint...it just feels so sublime and I have to put it down to the front end
which as we all know separates the steering mechanicals from the
suspension...and braking forces don't affect the suspension like they do
with forks either...

I've ridden quite a few forked bikes along with my GTS, and I've found
VERY few that even compare.  However.....the closest I have seen has
been the VFR and my 929 (hence the reason I bought the 929).  Honda's
steering is just SOOO neutral and well balanced that while it's not
GTS-stable, it is still quite nice.  I ride the GTS HARD (hard points
and bags ave touched down...), because it CAN be, and I expect the same
out of a traditional front end.  Most forked bikes just feel way too
twitchy, but I have gotten quite comfortable/confident on the 929.
