It's a replacement for the FJ not for the GTS. GTS replacement would be the GTSR1300 with Yamaha's new aluminum casting technology that reduces weight by 30% of castings. Think about our frame and swingarms being 30% lighter, that would be a 500lb GTS with a shaft, 125+hp and 80+ftlbs of torque. Now that would be a replacement for the GTS. Oops make that the GTSR1300A with abs.
I did find it interesting that they said the FJR was in the works before the R1, and that the fairing is a problem for those 6' and taller (same issue on the ST11 wonder about the ST13).
