I'll attest to the value of modulators. I love em, and suprised more bike owners don't use them. When I ride with friends and I'm not in front I'll turn it off. Otherwise I know it makes a big difference in my visibility. I've even had a couple of people pull over thinking I was a cop approaching! I have the Kissan which was super easy to install (plug and play) and they can be activated on or off by simply switching from high to low beam. Light sensor shuts it down when it's dark.
