There is nothing wrong with using a 170 on the back. Lots of owners claim it
steers a little better than with the 180. Mine has always had 180s on it and
I can't fault it.

(Oh, for you touring folk, a 130 front and 170 rear would be fine.... you
know, for slower riders...)
