Another option for damaged track would be a system similar (or identical?) to the construction machinery. Simply destroy the damaged track, possibly recycling it and extrude new track. ____ __ __ / A \_/B \_/C \ <- repair vehicle ====== -.-=.=-.=- <- damaged track Part A is the transport system. Part B is the track builder (super fast drying concrete?) Part C destroys damaged track and feeds reusable parts into part B. Damaged or destroyed pylons on elevated sections would require other vehicles and engineering effort. I am thinking that you'd need something fast like this if you're building lots of track around the Moon or Mars. I am not sure what parts B and C would be described as in Vehicles. I think you'd also want a flatbed transport car that carries other vehicles such as large bulldozers or graders to smooth out the edges of the new meteor crater (or mass driver strike!) that took out your track. -- Zan Lynx [EMAIL PROTECTED] "Knowledge is Power.
