The fuel guzzling M1, if something like ww1/ww2 had broken out then the M1 support vehicle would have gone into production. I forget its name, but it was designed to act as the primary support vehicle for the M1, to bring under cover of armor, ammo/fuel and like supplies..
Been Stalk, is a nice idea, but one main one causes some issues from to much control in one country, as well as how much drag does it cause on a planet and what is the long term effects? After all you are tapping into the natural spin of the planet as well as causing a major air dam/turbulence in the atmosphere.. Some designs are good, and smaller and can be for more than one nation? Or group of them.. And less of an effect on the air flow.
