Hello Johannes,

the four upcoming bioships all have roughly the same proportions,
at increasing sizes. For example, each has a spinal battery, two
major batteries, and a secondary battery, a total of six systems.

In a metal-and-composites starship, I'd just cut weapons, armor,
power, etc. For a bioship, perhaps the total numbers should stay
the same, but smaller: one major battery, one minor battery with
two guns only, and one tertiary battery with ten guns. That means
three systems, but there is one system worth of cargo in the mix.
That would mean bioships are never quite as specialized as metal
ships, because all organs are present in larger or smaller forms.

Or it trains some organs, and ignores others. Always at top speed?
The engines grow stronger. Lots of practice firing? Same for the
guns.

Trained as a warship, but refusing to go into combat?
