So, taking into account the comments so far, this is the framework I
have for putting together the stats for the pieces of a second
version. Does anything look like it needs changing before I start
crunching numbers?

XF-309 "Pigeon" and XF-310 "Spider"

Intended target: Irregular TL6-7 infantry, who hide and maneuver in
caves, urban areas, and among civilians, making it difficult to find
and identify them in time to destroy them.

These "Pigeons" are deployed in swarms on the order of 10-50,000,
which fly around a target zone, look, network with each other and with
behind-the-lines fire control; and when they're assigned a target, go
and explode themselves at it. (A variant, the "Spiders", scurry where
the Pigeons can't fly to.)

Design requirements:
* TL8
* Standard deployment is 10-50,000, thus cost is a factor. Target: $3k each.
* Pigeon flies and can hover. Target endurance: 6 hours. Spider crawls
where pigeons can't fly to.
* Sees, even without sensor module. Target: LLTV or better.
* Networks with other members of flock.
* When told, flies to target and explodes itself at them.

When possible, before deploying Pigeons, artillery should be used to
clear the area of opposing artillery, MBTs, and radio jammers. The
latter can also be located by certain sensor modules, the data
communicated by lasercomms, directing Pigeons to target such jammers.
