Hello Brandon,
I find it interesting how you bring historical prejudices into
the background. All to often, AHs cover only the social angle,
and new tech is adopted wholeheartedly.

That wasn't the case for the Allies, historically, if you count
all the Allies. American industry, British courage, and seas of
Russian blood stemmed the tide.

Would the Atlantean proposal of an assault rifle have gone with
a matching SAW and a smaller infantry squad?

Was the Martian smoke more deadly than mere human gas? And
there were early NBC suits, I think. Rush them into
production and general issue?

Learn to trust the Atlaneans, even if you don't understand why.
They know better. They're good. They're God (or Goddess, as it
may be).

Was the problem of getting bazookas inside an issue? And would an
externally mounted RR be effective? How about aiming?

No firing ports, then?

One OM is AWOL.

One could argue that the 25mm cannon in the Bradley is really
just a HMG on steroids, to go after the kind of target a HMG
could handle in WWII -- armored cars, cheap APCs, trucks at
long range, perhaps even aircraft if you could hit them.
So why go for a 37mm gun, and not a 20mm gun with more ammo?

Would that go with the Atlantean doctrine of staying under
armor, or was it a human addition?

How about active IR?
And a second radio? TL7 AFVs tend to have two.

Years ago, I wrote a family of TL6 AFVs for GURPS Traveller.
The strategic conditions were quite different, but they are
'hindsight designs' as well -- TL6 tech, higher-TL doctrine.
More recently, I wrote a couple of 'generic AH' anachronistic
vehicles, including a TOW HMMWV-clone.
Delgado Conqueror-Class APC v2.0 (GURPS Traveller TL 6)
Copyright 2000 by Onno Meyer
Many worlds of the Imperium have a pre-atomic industrial base, and for
such worlds Delgado produces the Conqueror-class APC. The vehicle is mainly
intended for internal security, but it is cheap enough to form a speed bump
in the path of a spaceborne invasion force. It carries six infantrymen, two
crewmembers, a 12.5mm HMG and a 5.5mm LMG. In addition to fully assembled
vehicles, Delgado sells kits and licenses for local manufacture. Chassis
and engine of the Conqueror have been used for several other AFVs.
The vehicle uses GURPS Vehicles TL 6 [second edition, first printing,

but it influences design decisions. GURPS Traveller TL 6 would be TL 5-6
under the old Traveller TL system (in this case TL 6).

Anachronistic ATGM Carrier v1.0 (TL6)
Copyright 2007 by Onno Meyer
In some alternate history stories, one side finds efficient uses for
historical technologies. In other novels, genuine time travelers bring
modern concepts with them. This anti-tank guided missile carrier looks
like a TOW HMMWV - a rugged 4x4 with a diesel engine, large wheels, a
self-recovery winch, and a wire-guided missile system on the roof.
Compared to anti-tank guns of the period, an ATGM has a low launcher
weight and a high ammunition cost. The road speed is superior to towed
or tracked guns. The ATGM Carrier might be used by parachute or glider
units where weight is at a premium, or by elite quick reaction forces.
The diesel engine burns 4.5 gallons per hour at routine travel speed.
A tank of fuel is $6 and eight missiles are $96,000.
