In the first two Martian invasions, the Martians had little air power apart from their landing rockets and little anti-aircraft weaponry. The Atlanteans assume this will be the case the third time. They are wrong. While the Martians will no be brining any significant air power with them, they are relying on the Axis for this. To assure this, they have provided a high level of technical assistance in rockets and jets. This includes missiles the Japanese can launch from their aircraft-carrying subs. And a large number of the rocket and missile warheads will be filled with Martian black smoke. All of this transfer of tech and materials is made possibly by the Mars gates in Franz Josef Land -- unknown the Atlanteans and Allies -- the Martians have come through the gates in Tibet and Mali and already begun moving warriors and equipment to earth that will fit through the gates.
