>It might be clichéd to expect a Flotation hull,
This one is a bit smaller than the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier. It is
marginally thinkable to move it on the ground, so I went that way.

huge tires or huge ground pressure?

>Launch Catapult,
Not required, the carrier itself is fast enough to get over the
stall speed of a plane.

you'll always want this thing moving at high speed?

>crane, winch,
Maybe. OTOH, do you really want something this large to winch a
payload up?

yes, but perhaps restrained at a few tons' capacity (for crates of supplies, and for villains, nefarious cargo)

>skyhook,
... or swoop in to snatch a single guy on the ground?

as opposed to landing, yes

>extendable ladder,
Maybe. It could hover over a skyscraper-top helipad and extend
a ladder, instead of landing.

this is part of my theme -- where will you land this?

>refueling
>probe,
No refueling for the carrier, only for carried craft. Tanker
aircraft can land on the carrier to refill those tanks.

>refueling drogue.
If you want to refuel from the carrier, why not land on it?

time.
