The Traveller suits are half the weight, too. I don't envision much 
hand to hand combat, so arm ST is mostly for climbing or getting up 
from a prone position. In proportion to the weight, the ST is quite
modest. 

I wonder how much ST the TL9-ish suit needs. An average 3E guy has 
ST 10 and 150 lbs., so a 2,000-lb. suit would need ST 133. Perhaps
a bit less, because few people fight naked. ST 120? Anything less 
and the battlesuit would have trouble standing up or getting onto
a roof.

There is a fuzzy dividing line between a "very tough trooper" and a
"very wimpy tank". The Traveller suits are tough troopers. I hope 
my design is one, too. 

BTW, those are first numbers. I will double-check them before they
go out ...
