Going from the edge of the system to a habitable planet by STL is
probably going to take many days or even weeks, at least with the
GURPS 3E technologies and single-digit acceleration. The GURPS 4E
Spaceships rules allow faster sublight ships.

to short-endurance landing craft. They get an effective range of
0.1 to 0.5 parsecs, not enough for interstellar travel but plenty
to go from the outer system to the habitable zone.

The rally point would be a recovery boat, not a drop ship. Like
Starship Troopers.
