Kim & all,

I use the Neo Speak voices with the Text Aloud program and convert a lot of text files to MP3. I can tell you that it is a very simple process to correct such mis pronounciations by use of the pronounciation dictionary built into the program.

It seems to me that such a file, which is less than 16Kilobytes in the Text Alound program would or should not be too much trouble to include in the Sense products.

Subject: Re: [GW-Booksense] Add these words to fix in the BS dictionary

I wrote this once, but perhaps I didn't actually send it to the whole list.

I'm not trying to help GW Micro, or HIMS get out of anything, but the Booksense uses Neospeech which is also offered with the Kurzweil reading and scanning program. I hear mispronunciations with the speech in connection with Kurzweil too, so it may not be anything that GW Micro or HIMS can control or do anything about. It is a little bit of an annoyance, but the speech quality overall is much better than Eloquence, Dectalk, or any other synthetic speech I know about. If it can be fixed, that would be good, but don't be surprised if it can't without Neospeech making changes to _its_ product.
