Maybe I am not loyal enough but I am not concerned. The last big change was when Blazie was merged with 2 other companies to form Freedom Scientific. When things are out of my control, I dont lose sleep over it even if I have an investment in certain products.

All we can do is hope that the US based HIMS will continue to provide the service we are used to now with GW Micro. What else is there for us to do? Worry? LOL

The pulse Date/HumanWare experience is precisely why I have the jitters about all of this. As someone else said to me, we will feel growing pains, but will have to do the wait and see for a while.

I donâ?Tt want to be messed with again with products developed outside the U.S. who later decide not to support our needs properly. Been there done that and have a non-working piecde of GPS technology which was never made good on to show for it. I just purchased new GPS technology on a Hims product because I felt secure. So, I hope they wonâ?Tt let us down.

Wowâ?¦

This concerns me greatly. I have no direct experience with HIMS customer service, technical support, sales or any other departments. I have no reason to suspect they will not be responsive, other than my more general experience with tech manufacturers based in other countries and selling into a U.S. market. PulseData comes to mind and not with a great deal of fondness, Iâ?Tm sorry to say.

When Humanware moved their tech support from California to Montreal, I experienced a deterioration of quality in their technical support and communications, only one part of which had to do with their no longer being in my time zone. And that was the same company, at least in theory.

I was seriously considering the BrailleSense On-Hand and must now weigh that decision much more carefully before committing to an expensive product and long-term relationship with a company with whom I have no immediate experience. I know and trust GWMicro and that was no small part of my decision.

Thanks, GWMicro, for being there and putting in the hard work getting these products to us in their current state of development. I am severely disappointed in this change and hope it will not have a negative impact on either GWMicro or the product lines involved.
