OK, I thought that scripts were standalone programs, In other words, I assumed you could distribute the compiled pearl or python applet as an executable and plug it into WE without any extras being needed.

To write scripts, you need to know a scripting language such as VBScript or JScript. The ability to write these scripts are already in your PC, so just fire up notepad or your favorite text editor and hack away.
