We are aware of this and it is an extremely difficult problem to solve and will not get addressed for 7.0 as it will take a long time to attempt to address it. We do have ideas and will hopefully do something with them post 7.0.

Guys, it is most important that Window-Eyes continue to operate, especially when a program pops up requiring attention, one that freezes our computers until that particular program is given "attention." More often than not, programs that either ERROR or generate some kind of report or must be handled or the computer freezes, freeze Window-Eyes, and this just WILL NOT DO. Everyone with sight who experiences such an error merrily, more often than not, clickety clicks on it with their lil mousey and bingo, error gone. Some kind of criteria has to be developed to handle these errors or conditions our computers get into with virus programs which demand that a yes/no/continue button or whatever the condition, be handled, and not have the computer freeze that part of the computer which contains our screen reader. A good example of this is Comodo firewall, which, many times freezes the computer when X condition occurs, and only by gymnastic manipulation of the keyboard by this experienced user will it read, (maybe, not more than about 40 percent but my percentages are going up), without a complete re-boot or at least the shutting down of Window-Eyes by brute force means. When Window-Eyes is then brought back, it speaks enough to fix the errors, so in a lot of cases, something has to be done by GW-Micro to alleviate the condition of when computers "freeze" because of a program condition of security being breached, that Window-Eyes doesn't freeze too, or when, as in many times on my wife's computer, when I am running Window-Eyes over there doing maintenance on her computer, an error happens with Outlook 2003 which demand attention but freezes the computer until that condition is handled, and what else freezes? Window-Eyes, or at least, goes silent. Often, also the computer is going on it's merry way doing what it does except for one very important fact, our trusty screen reader isn't speaking any more because it is shut down somehow, intimidated into inaction or somehow barricaded into silence so it has to be brutally dislodged, and then brought up again by hot key.
