Hi,
If you are using Windows XP, put these following lines in a text editor,
save them with the .bat file extension; then, create a shortcut to this file
on your desk top and give it a hot key. When errors stop Window-Eyes from
speaking, hit the hot key you assigned to this batch file and Window-Eyes
will completely unload.
Then, launch it again with the standard Window-Eyes hot key and all should
be fine.
It only takes a few seconds this way.

Copy the lines below to your text editor:

@echo off
cd\windows\system32
rem close window-eyes and all its parts
rem works with windows xp home and professional
taskkill.exe /im wineyes.exe /f
taskkill.exe /im bdisplay.exe /f
exit

Copy only the lines above this one.

Richard

We are aware of this and it is an extremely difficult problem to
solve and will not get addressed for 7.0 as it will take a long time
This is my opinion, however, I don't believe waiting on a solution should be

expected of any window-eyes users. It doesn't matter how how difficult or
long it takes to resolve this. As a matter of fact this has been going on
for along time now. It would happen from time to time in window-eyes 6.1 and

of course there are work arounds using paid and free screen readers to
inspect what is going on. This works sometimes, but not all the time,
however it's not reliable all the time. Therefore it doesn't matter how much

time it takes to be resolved for 7.0 because it's been going on in prior
versions of window-eyes. The bottom line is if gw-micro's claim that
window-eyes screen reader is the most rock solid screen reader, please let's

do whatever we can to get it solved for 7.0.

We are aware of this and it is an extremely difficult problem to
solve and will not get addressed for 7.0 as it will take a long time
to attempt to address it. We do have ideas and will hopefully do
something with them post 7.0.
