Thank you Robert. I didn't think memory was the problem as I don't do a myriad of things at once. In fact, I rarely do more than two things at once. I just don't have a need for that and I understood that memory was only a concern if you wanted to multitask. And since GW Micro didn't stress the need for having a gig of memory or more, I didn't think it was a concern. And since you're having similar problems to mine, if I get more memory soon, I won't expect that to solve these problems and I'll continue to report in hopes that I can narrow down the cause. Gail I am sorry; but I have 2 gig of RAM and I experience muttering, babbling and occasional loss of speech with the new Eloquence when I run Goldwave and Outlook Express. When I used Dectalk Access 32 for WindowEyes for testing purposes, it didn't happen, but I have to slow that down to understand it and even then it's more difficult for me to understand so I'd rather not go back to that.
